IE 5.2.1 (Mac OS)
Just upgraded Internet Explorer on my Mac to version 5.2.1. What a difference quartz font rendering makes! The antialiasing on text looks absolutely brilliant—if you do a lot of reading online (who doesn’t?) you really need this upgrade.
A small annoyance: every time you upgrade IE, no matter what platform you’re on, it resets your homepage to msn.com. If, as a user, you go through the trouble of changing your homepage, it is because you have found a starting point that is more convenient than MSN. (I have mine set to Google.) I guess this is a small price to pay for a “free” piece of software…
