Minority Report

It’s unusual for me to go to the movies two days in a row. It’s even more unusual for both showings to be excellent sci-fi flicks, but that is what we got this weekend! Minority Report is very good… probably the most un-Spielberg Spielberg film I’ve seen yet; there is a complete absence of sentimentality, and it is not missed. There are also a lot of shadings of Kubrick, and many details (such as the highly commercialized future) remind me of my favorite film—2001: A Space Odyssey. I highly recommend you see this thing before it stops playing in the theaters.
