Macromedia Flash Central

Macromedia: “You can develop Macromedia Flash applications people can use both online and offline, right from their desktops.”

This was just announced, so I don’t fully grasp it yet. But from what I’ve seen thus far, it reminds me a lot of Pointcast. It seems they are building an online marketplace for Flash-based applications. Macromedia will keep 20% of the sales. This article by Timothy Appnel has more information.
