I upgraded last night to Mac OS X 10.3, and as always with Apple products, the installation went without a hitch.
I had already read quite a bit about the many new features of Panther, but one that caught me by surprise and that may have been worth the price of admission by itself is the way the new OS renders fonts. Even carbonized apps look so much better under Panther than they did under Jaguar! The OS is also noticeably snappier than it’s predecessor. (I was expecting this from friends’ reports, but seeing speed up my TiBook is a different thing.)
