Design vs. Usability
Dirk Knemeyer: “The usability paradigm in Web design is about to end.” A re-stirring of the usability vs. design discussions from a couple of years ago. While I agree with the premise that many competing sites today don’t have enough differentiation, I think that usability needs to inform a strong design identity and vice-versa. These should not be mutually exclusive realms.
