Tsunami relief: ways you can help

I spent the last five days of 2004 away from civilization, and this is the first opportunity I’ve had of posting to this site. As most everyone, I’m deeply saddened by the situation unfolding in Asia. The important thing now is to try to help our brethren in any way possible, and the web is a great way for us to reach out. Apple has posted on their home page a list of charities that are accepting donations online; I copy it here in an attempt to give it as wide an exposure as possible:

American Red Cross International Response Fund

AmeriCares South Asia Earthquake Relief Fund

CARE USA Asia Quake Disaster

Direct Relief International International Assistance Fund

Médecins Sans Frontières International Tsunami Emergency Appeal

Oxfam Asian Earthquake & Tsunami Fund

Sarvodaya Relief Fund for Tsunami Tragedy

Save the Children Asia Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Fund

SEVA South Asia Emergency Fund

UNICEF South Asia Tsunami Relief Efforts

World Food Programme Tsunami Disaster Appeal

Amazon is also accepting donations for the American Red Cross.
