Adobe acquiring Macromedia

Press release. Don’t know what to think of this yet; both companies’ tools are essential to my day-to-day work (especially Macromedia’s.) On the one hand, there is quite a bit of synergy (and overlap) between the two product lines. On the other, I’ve yet to see one of these corporate mergers that results in a better user experience for end customers. We’ll see.
