Microsoft betting the company on Internet services?

A couple of leaked memos from Bill Gates and Ray Ozzie suggest that Microsoft is starting to take the software-as-services model seriously. Quote: “We will build our strategies around Internet services and we will provide a broad set of service APIs and use them in all of our key applications.” Things are going to get very interesting in the web dev space.
