Folklore.org

If you enjoy reading about the early days of the computer industry and are an Apple fan, you should check out Andy Hertzfeld’s folklore.org.

If, on the other hand, you’re not particularly fond of Apple and could care less about Silicon Valley in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, you should still check out folklore.org. Why? Because it’s an impressive case study on how the right corporate culture can encourage small groups of extraordinarily talented and passionate individuals to create products that have heart, under pressure, without losing their minds in the process. Also, it’s a great example of how to create an effective hypertext corporate history.

Want another reason? It’s damned funny!
