Jorge, I also have noticed that Latin America is not very representative in IA Summit. It's quite strange, considering that we have many good professionals, rising interesting questions in several discussion groups.

Last year we had our first national IA event here in Brazil. Many presentations were quite good, or at least, good enough for a "first time" event. Strikes me the fact that we're so "shy" in the international scenario...I think we could contribute a lot sharing our experiences. Brazil, for example, has some unique characteristics about how people use the internet. I'm quite sure it reflects on the way we do our work as information architects.

Hope our colleagues get more involved in a near future.

Unfortunatly, I won't be able to go IA Summit...but I was very pleased to participate on the blind peer reviewing process. Seems that many interesting stuff will be discussed.

cheers,
mauro
